National Geographic Bee

The National Geographic Bee provides schools the opportunity to encourage students to learn more about the world and it rewards those who excel in their knowledge of our planet.

Emma from Oregon, who won her school Bee two years in a row and made it to the state-level Bee twice, sent us the essay she wrote when applying to high school. Emma says her experience truly inspired her to learn more about the world. "Geographical connectivity is essentially the way pieces of information, initially thought to be separate, are related and affect each other. No one can truly be a master at understanding these complex relations because there is always more to learn and things are always changing. But if I could better understand this connectivity, I could make better decisions and work with others to help guide the world in a better direction for all nations."

Donate today and help other schools provide students like Emma the opportunity to be inspired to learn more about their world. A gift of $90 covers the registration fees for one school participating in the Geographic Bee.
